The KLRU KIDS Writers Contest is a local Contest designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to write and illustrate stories and submit them to KLRU. All children who enter the contest have their story published on our website!
We honored the winners and all the children who entered the contest on Saturday, May 18th, 2019. The children read their stories beautifully and enjoyed getting their pictures taken and having refreshments with their family and friends. Click here to view the pictures!
In our eyes, every one of these stories are winners! Keep on writing and illustrating!
Next year’s contest will begin January 1, 2020 and end March 31, 2020.
