The KLRU KIDS Writers Contest is a local Contest designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade were encouraged to write and illustrate stories and submit them to KLRU. All the winners were present (except two) to read their stories in front of their families and friends at the new Central Library in downtown Austin on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
