PBS KIDS Writers Contest 2016

The PBS KIDS Writers Contest is a local contest this year designed to promote the advancement of children’s writing skills through hands-on, active learning. Children in kindergarten through third grade were encouraged to write and illustrate stories and submit them to KLRU.

KLRU’s panel of judges has awarded 12 winners out of 211 entries for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

The winner’s celebration was held Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Ruiz Branch Library. See photos from the celebration here.
